The group standard Technical Specification for Intelligent Energy Efficiency Optimization of Dust Removal Fans in Iron and Steel Industry, initiated by the Extreme Energy Efficiency Standardization Working Group of China Iron and Steel Association and mainly compiled by Luculent, has been officially approved and included in the national group standard development (revision) plan.

This group standard aims to transform advanced technical practices into replicable, promotable and implementable unified industry specifications, providing standard guidance and technical support for the green, low-carbon and high-quality development of the iron and steel industry. To ensure the standard is scientific, rigorous, applicable and in line with industrial reality, the working group plans to establish a high-standard editorial committee and sincerely invites key industrial enterprises and authoritative experts to participate in its development. At present, many renowned institutions have confirmed their participation, including University of Science and Technology Beijing, Citic Pacific Special Steel (Jiangyin Xingcheng) Co., Ltd., Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd., Tangshan Yutian Jinzhou Industrial Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Baosteel Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd.

This intelligent energy efficiency optimization technology has been implemented and applied in many steel enterprises such as Baoshan Iron & Steel, Taiyuan Iron & Steel, Meishan Iron & Steel, Kunming Iron & Steel, and Ningbo Iron & Steel. It has successfully broken through the energy-saving bottleneck of traditional methods relying on manual experience, deeply integrating AI data models and smoke visual recognition technology to realize global perception, dynamic judgment and precise regulation of production conditions and dust removal air volume demands. Through real-time video analysis to intelligently identify smoke changes, and combined with equipment operation big data to automatically optimize fan speed, the system energy consumption is reduced to the optimal range while strictly adhering to the bottom line of dust removal and environmental protection. Practical application data shows that the comprehensive power saving rate of the project can reach 10%–15%, effectively creating three core values for steel enterprises: cost reduction, efficiency improvement and carbon reduction.
