On September 6th, the 2025 Global Industrial Internet Conference opened in Shenyang. Li Lecheng, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, attended and delivered a speech. Hao Peng, Secretary of the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Liaoning Provincial People's Congress, was also present. Wang Xinwei, Deputy Secretary of the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Liaoning Province; Li Yizhong, President of the China Federation of Industrial Economics; Liu Jian, Vice President of Xinhua News Agency; and Xu Xiaolan, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of the China Institute of Electronics, attended and delivered speeches. Zhou Bo, Chairman of the Liaoning Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and Zhong Zhihong, Chief Engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, also participated in the opening ceremony.
As a national "cross-industry and cross-domain" platform enterprise, Luculent was invited to attend the conference. Wu Aibin, Chairman of Luculent, participated in the opening ceremony and engaged in enthusiastic exchanges with leaders during the venue tour.
In an exclusive interview with Xinhua News Agency, Wu Aibin stated that Luculent has attended the conference for many consecutive years. He emphasized that the Global Industrial Internet Conference has evolved into an international stage, a think tank, and a catalyst for collaboration, driving the high-quality development of industrial internet. Luculent has deepened its focus on industrial digitalization, building a full-stack "AI+" product matrix and ecosystem to empower process industries such as power generation, coal mining, and chemical engineering to achieve safe, efficient, economical, and green转型升级 (transformation and upgrading).
During the conference, Luculent participated in the parallel event Industrial Internet Innovation and Development Conference. At the event, Zhang Wei, Vice President of Luculent, joined leaders from the Liaoning Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, China Academy of Industrial Internet, China Unicom Liaoning, Inspur Group, Kaos, and Liaoning Smart Technology to jointly launch the National Equipment Manufacturing Digital Supply Chain (Liaoning) Platform.
Xu Mian, Vice President of Luculent, delivered a keynote speech titled "Enabling AI to Take Root and Create Value Cycles in Industry", highlighting the following key insights:
Industrial enterprises should adopt a rational approach to AI strategy, focusing on high-value scenarios such as production operations, equipment maintenance, safety management, energy efficiency optimization, and business management. The goal is to develop "AI+" application cases that both improve quality/efficiency and serve as demonstration models. AI should be integrated into all industrial elements—from R&D and manufacturing to management—transforming production methods and unlocking the potential of "AI+" new productive forces.
The key to closing the loop for industrial AI lies in overcoming traditional technical barriers, deepening AI-industrial internet integration, leveraging industrial data value, and realizing a complete cycle from data to models to applications.
Xu Mian emphasized that "large models + small models" is the optimal approach to empower industry:
Large models act as "versatile doctors," providing underlying intelligent support to process massive data, identify complex patterns, and assist decision-making.
Small models serve as "specialized physicians," addressing vertical scenarios (e.g., energy optimization, fault预警 [early warning]) with precise data analysis and business logic.
This combination enables "unmanned factories" and large-scale AI application in industry. Luculent has successfully piloted this collaborative model in projects, shifting from "human-led" to "model-led, human-supervised" operations.
"Cloud-edge collaboration is the best technical route for intensive management and the main battlefield for AI," Xu Mian noted.
Cloud acts as the "group brain," aggregating expert knowledge into knowledge bases, case libraries, and model libraries to empower factories.
Edge represents factory-level execution, feeding back optimized models to the cloud to form a self-learning, self-optimizing, and self-upgrading knowledge cycle.
Luculent’s AI intelligent预警 (early warning) platform enables end-to-end, full-process, and multi-level penetration management, functioning as a "factory missile defense system."
At the exhibition, Luculent showcased six high-value AI-enabled industrial scenarios, presenting new achievements and solutions through vivid demonstrations and professional explanations. The displays attracted domestic and international guests, generating enthusiastic engagement.
Luculent advocates for collaboration among government, industry, academia, and research institutions to strengthen top-level design. By leveraging AI technologies, stakeholders should build an industrial internet ecosystem with clear division of labor, complementary strengths, and differentiated development, fostering a vibrant environment of co-creation and win-win cooperation.
